2000, NT, ME, and 98SE Operating Systems.

What are the System Requirements that I need to know?
A system with at least
Media Player 7.0, or a compatible MP3 CODEC is required to hear the background
music.
Most new operating systems are much better than this.
You can
download the Microsoft Media Player by clicking here.
On Old Win98SE,
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or greater is required, because that install
updates certain functions of the operating system. It also makes it easier to surf the web.
You can
download Microsoft Internet Explorer by clicking here.
The
minimum system we recommend is a Pentium II 300MHZ with 128MB of RAM. The faster the system, the better the
Artificial Intelligence response time.
Again, 24 bit color video with 1024X768 screen resolution support. A sound Blaster 32 or compatible with its
latest drivers is recommended for clear overlapped sound effects. If you
have an older system:King's
Revenge will run on Pentium 120MHZ PC with 64MB of RAM, with a 24 bit color
SVGA video that supports 1024X768 screen resolution. Just don't expect the Artificial Intelligence to respond really
fast when a Dragon, an Inquisitor, and a Queen are attacking you all at the
same time :). A Sound Blaster
compatible sound card will do as long as it has drivers updated after 2001.

About King's Revenge and Idea Labs
Idea Labs is a small corporation devoted to researching, developing, and marketing inventions.
Idea labs was founded by Duane Warrick and J.E. Steven Flores as an avenue to market their inventions and intellectual musings. Idea Labs is currently working on marketing various inventions that delve into Mechanical, Electronics, and Software engineering projects. Our Patented "Spin-N-Sift" self-cleaning cat litter box is one of our plastic molded products.
Steven, President of Idea Labs Inc., conceived of King’s Revenge. His love for chess and old fashioned arcade games gave him a spark to design the game.
Steven Flores and Jim P. Stack programmed the original King's Revenge.
Everything in King's Revenge was designed from scratch, from the Aritficial Intelligence Engine, to the user interface. We programmed at night, and slept at our real jobs during the day :)
King's Revenge Dark Realm has grown from the original King's Revenge code. Steven Flores has solely upgraded, enhanced, designed new levels, and maintained the game as well as designed the web site and promoted the game.
A great thanks to Michael Nauman (GraphicFx) for the great Macromedia Flash art work for the two front pre-pages of the website.

About the art, and why isn't it COOL 3D rendered art?
Steven
created the artwork while rocking his new baby boy to sleep, holding an iPAQ
Pocket PC, using PocketPaint and photographs from his trips to Europe. OK, OK, we COULD use COOL 3D rendered
artwork and King's Revenge would have more market appeal, but that takes a REAL
artist, with a REAL budget. Steven does not profess to be a graphic artist:)
A big thanks to Kelley McDonald for the plethora of photographs from his trips to Italy and Croatia.
Several images from these photos also were used for the game.

About the background music for King's Revenge.
The
background music for King's Revenge is a collection from Steven's own
compositions created over a period of many years before King's Revenge was
conceived. Steven loves to compose New
Age and Classical Music, as well guitar pieces and children’s songs. He plays
the piano, guitar, and viola. He has
recorded and produced two CD's of his own music:
"Eclectic Compositions" and "Strange Quark". His next CD will be a collection of
children’s bedtime songs. The sound
track CD for King's Revenge is available for sale on this web site. If you are interested in more of Steven's
music CD's just email a request via sales@kingsrevenge.com. The
King's Revenge Soundtrack was composed on a KAWAII Midi keyboard using an EMU
Systems Proteus-I with the orchestral expansion option. The compositions are sequenced using
CakeWalk Professional on a Windows PC.
Recordings are made straight from the original WAV tracks at full
CD-Quality. The MP3's included in
King's Revenge are compressed versions of these recordings with the sound
volume reduced by 50% to produce fidelity good enough for a background sound
track. Please
respect composer's copyrights, and support the arts.
